Emotional and Physical Joys of Children's Yoga
Young children don’t have the words to express their feelings. Through the playful and creative language of Yoga, children can learn how to nurture their ability to manage their emotional responses. Providing children with such tools prepares them at a young age for the stresses of the ‘hurry-up’ world we live in. In addition, their concentration and sense of calmness will improve.
Furthermore, the physical benefits such as improving flexibility, strength, and coordination encourages self-esteem and body awareness with a physical activity that’s non-competitive.
As Orleans Yoga Mom, it is my joy to introduce mindfulness and yoga to children by combining safe movement, creative storytelling, uplifting music and singing in my classes.
